BNI Affirms Anti-Corruption Commitment at Hakordia 2025 Summit in Yogyakarta

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) confirmed its commitment to implementing governance and anti-corruption culture through active participation in the World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) 2025 summit held by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) at the Main Hall of Kepatihan, the Governor's Office complex in Yogyakarta. This year's Hakordia theme is “Unite Actions, Eradicate Corruption.”

BNI President Director Putrama Wahju Setyawan said that the momentum of Hakordia serves as an important reminder for all stakeholders to strengthen integrity and transparency, both in the public and corporate sectors.

“Hakordia is not just a reminder, but an effort to unite the view that corruption is a common enemy in order to realize a developed, fair, and integrity-based nation,” said Putrama in a written statement.

The event was also attended by leaders of state institutions, local governments, and representatives of state-owned enterprises committed to supporting the national agenda on corruption prevention.

Putrama asserted that BNI's commitment to maintaining integrity is an important foundation for maintaining public trust in the country's banking industry. “Let's safeguard ourselves, remind our colleagues, and protect BNI's good name by always prioritizing integrity in our work. Greetings of Integrity!” he said emphatically.

As part of concrete measures, BNI strengthens the implementation of anti-gratification and anti-fraud policies, as well as a Whistleblowing System (WBS) designed to improve the effectiveness of internal supervision.

“This policy is expected to minimize the risk of abuse of authority and build a strong culture of control across all operational lines,” he said.

BNI also conducts corruption prevention education by aligning campaign materials from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), improving employee literacy regarding internal control, and strengthening the principle of segregation of duties across all work units.

In addition, BNI management and employees throughout Indonesia participates in a simultaneous integrity campaign as a manifestation of their collective commitment to building a clean and anti-corruption work environment.

Through this series of initiatives, BNI affirms its determination to continue strengthening its governance, improving service quality, and maintaining public trust, in line with its vision of becoming a leading national bank with global competitiveness.
