BNI Expands Role in Housing Program, Ready to Distribute 17,356 FLPP Mortgages by 2026

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the national housing agenda by expanding the distribution of the Housing Ownership Loan with Liquidity Facility for Housing Financing (KPR FLPP) for low-income individuals (MBR). This support is part of BNI's contribution to the success of the 3 Million Homes Program, aimed at reducing the national housing backlog.

This commitment is reflected in BNI's participation in the mass FLPP mortgage agreement for 50,030 housing units, which will be followed by key handovers in 2025. This mass agreement was held hybridly and centered at the Pondok Banten Indah Housing in Serang, Banten, on Saturday (20/12/2025).

A total of 300 contracts were executed live on-site with the involvement of 11 disbursing banks, while another 49,730 contracts were carried out online by 39 disbursing banks across 33 provinces at 110 regency/city locations throughout Indonesia.

The event was attended by President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Minister of Housing and Human Settlements Maruarar Sirait, and Commissioner of BP Tapera. From BNI, CEO Putrama Wahju Setyawan and the management team were present.

"BNI is committed to continuing to be the government's strategic partner in accelerating the provision of decent and affordable housing for low-income individuals through easy, fast, and accountable FLPP mortgage financing," said Putrama in a written statement.

As part of the event series, a symbolic handover of keys was also carried out to 10 MBR representatives from various professional backgrounds, ranging from educators, MSME entrepreneurs, laborers, fishermen, to members of the Indonesian National Army.

FLPP 2026 Mandate

In line with these achievements, BNI has once again been mandated to distribute 17,356 units of FLPP mortgages in 2026 after signing a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Housing and Human Settlements and BP Tapera. The signing took place at the BP Tapera Headquarters in Jakarta on Tuesday (12/23/20250, along with 43 other distributing banks.

BNI is among the 10 banks with the largest FLPP quota and is represented by Director of Network & Retail Funding Rian Eriana Kaslan. The signing was witnessed by Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Maruarar Sirait and BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho.

Rian stated that the assignment is a continuation of BNI's role as a development agent in the housing sector. "With BNI's nationwide network and close synergy with BP Tapera and the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, we are optimistic that the distribution of FLPP 2026 can be targeted, prudent, and make it easier for low-income people to own their first home," he said.

Going forward, BNI will continue to optimize the role of its branch network and all work areas to support the national housing program, from borrower readiness and technical support for hybrid contract execution to comprehensive education for the public regarding the benefits and financing schemes of the FLPP mortgage.

Through its ongoing contributions to the housing sector, BNI reaffirms its commitment not only to provide financing but also to contribute to building the foundation for social welfare and inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
