PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) has issued a clarification regarding the demonstration that took place at its Pematang Siantar Branch in North Sumatra on Friday, April 24, 2026. BNI emphasized that the issue that has drawn public attention is related to a product offered by a cooperative.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo affirmed that the cooperative is an independent entity and not part of BNI.
Okki further stressed that this case is currently undergoing legal proceedings. BNI fully respects the ongoing legal process.
“We are committed to resolving this case by complying with the ongoing legal proceedings,” he said.
