BNI Launches wondrZ, a Savings Account for Children and Teens to Learn Financial Management from Early Age

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, is expanding its banking services for families through wondrZ—a dedicated savings product for children and teenagers accessible via the wondr by BNI app.

This product is designed to help children learn about and manage finances from an early age, while also making it easy for parents to monitor their children's financial activities.

The launch of wondrZ was part of the BNI wondrX 2026 event series held at ICE BSD from August 21–23, 2026, and coincided with the celebration of BNI’s 80th anniversary. The launch ceremony was officiated by BNI Deputy President Director Alexandra Askandar and witnessed by members of BNI’s Board of Directors, management, and strategic partners.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo stated that wondrZ was developed to help children build healthy financial habits from an early age through a banking experience tailored to their age group.

“Through wondrZ, we aim to help children learn how to save and manage money, and gradually begin to understand transactions. At the same time, parents can continue to support their children's financial journey through the available features,” said Okki in a written statement.

wondrZ offers three key features for children and parents. First, the convenience of opening and managing children's savings accounts within a single service.

Secondly, children aged 12 and older can begin learning to conduct digital transactions using their own *wondr* accounts. This feature allows them to gain experience in managing their finances more independently, tailored to their specific needs.

Third, parents can stay connected to their children's financial activities through balance monitoring and transaction history features.

To open a wondrZ account, parents can have the Family Card (KK) or Child Identity Card (KIA) ready—either the physical card or a clear photograph of the document. Next, parents can enter the child's details based on the documents they have.

“It is necessary to ensure the data is entered correctly, as the savings account will be registered in the child’s name,” said Okki.

The presence of wondrZ within BNI wondrX 2026 offers the public an opportunity to gain a closer understanding of banking services designed to support families' financial needs while fostering financial literacy among the younger generation.

BNI wondrX 2026 itself presents a wide range of products, services, and activities spanning banking, lifestyle, real estate, automotive, and culinary sectors, as well as musical entertainment.

The public can visit BNI wondrX 2026 for free by registering via the wondr by BNI app and exploring the various innovations showcased during the event.

As part of Indonesia’s Danantara ecosystem, BNI continues to support the SOE transformation agenda, which positions human resource development, capability strengthening, and the creation of long-term value as integral components of sustainable growth.

The launch of wondrZ represents one of BNI's contributions toward fostering greater financial literacy among the younger generation from an early age. In line with the spirit of BNI’s 80th anniversary—*Swadharma Bhakti Nagara*—the company continues to develop products and services that meet the needs of Indonesian families while helping to prepare a generation that is better equipped for the future.
