On the same occasion BNI and Citilink invited millennial customers to use the BNI Citilink Co-Brand Debit Card on the Traveling & Shopping Experience on a Citilink flight from Jakarta to Denpasar, Bali. Anggoro Eko Cahyo added, "Millennial customers will experience an onboard merchandise purchase on Citilink aircraft with BNI Citilink Co-Brand Debit Card which also functions as BNI TapCash. After landing, millennial customers will immediately try the benefits of shopping discounts at one of the popular souvenir shops and fine dining restaurants in Bali."
Meanwhile, the Commercial Director of Citilink Indonesia, Benny Rustanto said that this cooperation is in line with the vision of Citilink to become a modern airline. According to him, this debit card cooperation is targeting passenger segment of Citilink from millenials. Millenials have modern lifestyle where they often travel and are used to the latest technology, including in performing electronic payment transactions.
“As a modern airline, Citilink continues to carry out various innovation in according with the current modern community lifestyle. Proven by some time ago we have launched Dining Experiences, New Boarding Pass and also included what we launched today is the Co-brand Debit with BNI," said Benny.
In addition, Benny also added that the innovations carried out include opening various international routes this year and providing various electronic payment options for ticket purchases. "We do this to improve the customer experience and make it easier for Citilink passengers to conduct transactions," he added.
The interest in using BNI debit cards for transactions continues to grow. This was indicated by the volume of BNI Debit Card transactions that grew more than 20% year on year (yoy) as of August 2019.
