27/01/2024. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, expresses its gratitude to Indonesia's proud badminton athletes for fighting tirelessly until the final round of the DAIHATSU Indonesia Master 2024 event.
As for the Indonesian representatives who won the 2024 Indonesia Masters were Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin (men's doubles) who managed to defeat the Danish pair Kim Arstrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen in a tight three-set match with a final score of 21-12, 20-22, and 11-21.
Three other Indonesian representatives, namely Anthony Sinisuka Ginting (men's singles), Lanny Tria Mayasari/Ribka Sugiarto (women's doubles), and Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto (men's doubles) managed to make Indonesia proud until the semifinals of the Indonesia Masters 2024.
BNI President Director Royke Tumilaar said that as the main supporter of the All Indonesia Badminton Association (PBSI), the company appreciates Indonesian badminton athletes for their achievements in the Super 500 tournament.
"We congratulate the Indonesian athletes on their outstanding performances at the Indonesia Masters 2024." This is an outstanding feat that has undoubtedly made all Indonesians proud. "We are also committed and consistent in supporting athletes," Royke stated.
Royke hopes that the achievements of the athletes in this tournament can inspire the younger generation to always be eager to jump higher.
Aside from that, BNI will continue to be committed to supporting the development of the world of sports, especially badminton, so that it accomplishes more on the national and international arena, which is consistent with the company's aim, namely BNI Go Global.
"BNI continues to support Indonesian badminton athletes through coaching and development so that they can make Indonesia proud in future tournaments," concluded Royke.
The BWF World Tour Super 500 event will be hosted at Istora Senayan on January 23-28, 2024, with over 190 athletes competing. This event not only features five championships to compete for in five categories: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles, but it also has a total prize pool of up to USD 45 thousand, which is equivalent to IDR 6.9 billion.
