Furniture MSME from Klaten Breaks into Exports Thanks to BNI Xpora

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, continues to strengthen its role in encouraging micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to penetrate global markets thru BNI Xpora.

BNI Commercial Banking Director Muhammad Iqbal stated that BNI Xpora not only provides financing but also supports MSMEs thru business consultations and business events. This support for MSMEs aligns with the President's Asta Cita, particularly in creating quality jobs, promoting entrepreneurship, and eradicating poverty.

"Throughout 2025, our main focus is to provide business consulting services and host business events that offer greater opportunities for MSMEs to enhance their competitiveness and experience tangible business impact," Iqbal stated in a written statement.

One of the success stories that emerged from the company's guidance thru the BNI Xpora program is CV Ganesha Home, a furniture manufacturer from Klaten, Central Java, which now regularly ships up to eight containers of products per month overseas.

CV Ganesha Home Director Awwalin Nurrieza Winata, or Icha as she is commonly known, stated that although the company was officially established in 2022, the business has actually been rooted since 1998 as an export-oriented family business.

"Our buyers are mainly wholesalers, retailers, store chains, and others," she explained.

Ganesha Home's flagship products include household furniture, interior decorations, and handicrafts. Not only functional, this company also produces various home decorative accessories, such as lamps, vases, baskets, and even kitchen utensils. The product's advantage lies in its flexibility of use, both indoors and outdoors.

Icha added that Ganesha Home relies on natural raw materials such as mango wood, sungkai, mindi, and rattan. "Natural wood and rattan materials are our main assets that other countries do not have, as they generally rely on plywood and plastic," she said.

With these advantages, Ganesha Home products have now penetrated the export market to Australia, Chile, Japan, France, Greece, Namibia, the United States, and even Uruguay. The average export capacity reaches eight containers per month, with a value per container of up to US$20,000. This means Ganesha Home's export potential could reach US$60,000–US$200,000 per month.

To expand its market, Ganesha Home actively participates in various exhibitions and business matching events, both nationally and internationally. In this regard, BNI plays an important role thru the BNI Xpora program, which not only connects MSME actors with potential buyers but also expands their reach thru a digital portal.

“Recently, we just passed the curation process to participate in an exhibition in Mumbai, India. Thank you to BNI for supporting us. Hopefully, exhibitions at the national and international level can increase, so we can maximize quality and capacity," said Icha.

BNI's steps in assisting MSMEs like Ganesha Home are concrete proof of the company's commitment to strengthening the competitiveness of local products on the global stage, while also driving sustainable economic growth.
