"This award is clear proof that BNI continues to be committed to empowering MSMEs and expanding financial inclusion in Indonesian villages," said Iqbal in a written statement.
One of the leading initiatives that is in the spotlight is the BUMI (BNI UMKM Ramah Lingkungan) 2025 Program, which is designed to encourage MSME players to transform towards sustainable business practices.
The program integrates green financing, entrepreneurship training, business matching, as well as environmentally friendly activities such as planting seeds and managing productive waste.
Iqbal explained, through this approach, BNI wants to present a model for empowering MSMEs that does not only focus on economic aspects, but also on social and environmental sustainability.
"The BUMI program combines financing, training and real action so that MSMEs can develop while contributing to the green economy and sustainable development," he explained.

"This award is motivation for BNI to continue to encourage financial inclusion, strengthen the role of MSMEs as the backbone of the national economy, and confirm our position as a pioneer of sustainable finance in Indonesia," stressed Iqbal.
BNI's steps are in line with the company's vision to become a bank with a real contribution to achieving the national Asta Cita, especially in expanding financial access, improving community welfare, and accelerating the transition towards an inclusive and competitive green economy.
