PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) has once again demonstrated consistency in its implementation of governance and information disclosure. The company won two awards at the Annual Report Award (ARA) 2024, including the award in the category of ‘Company with the Highest Increase in Desk Evaluation Score’.
The award was announced at the ARA awards night in Jakarta on Monday (12/8/2025). This achievement is a form of recognition for the significant improvement in the quality of BNI's Annual Report and Sustainability Report compared to the previous year.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that this award reflects the company's ongoing efforts to maintain transparency and accountability.
“This award encourages us to continue strengthening the quality of our reporting and corporate governance. The objective evaluation of the judges provides important input for improving our reports, as well as motivation for everyone at BNI,” said Okki.
In addition to receiving an award for improving its Desk Evaluation score, BNI also ranked among the top three in the Publicly Listed State-Owned Financial Institutions category, demonstrating the company's increased competitiveness in reporting and governance practices throughout 2024. This achievement reinforces BNI's track record, which this year also earned the title of Leadership in Corporate Governance from the IICD.
ARA 2024 assesses companies based on four main pillars: ethics, transparency, accountability, and sustainability. BNI is said to have demonstrated significant progress in all these aspects, including more comprehensive integration of sustainability data into company reports.
Furthermore, Okki highlighted that BNI will continue to develop its reporting practices to align with evolving international standards.
“We are grateful for the support of our stakeholders. BNI will maintain integrity, professionalism, and quality of information disclosure as the foundation of good governance,” he said.
As a public financial institution, BNI stated that it will continue to strengthen the quality of its financial reports and sustainability in the coming years to support the confidence of investors, regulators, and the public in the company's performance.
