BNI Supports Batik MSMEs Through Puspa Nuswantara 2026

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI is strengthening its support for the development of batik Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through participation in the Puspa Nuswantara 2026 Exhibition. This involvement is part of the company's efforts to expand market access, encourage digital transactions, and strengthen the national creative economy ecosystem.

The Puspa Nuswantara 2026 Exhibition carries the theme "Rupa Makna Tambal Nusantara - The Appearance and Meaning of Nusantara Patchwork" and is organized by the Association of Indonesian Batik Craftsmen and Entrepreneurs (APPBI) at Hall A of the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), Senayan, on July 8–12, 2026.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo stated that BNI's support for Puspa Nuswantara 2026 reflects the company's role as a strategic partner for MSMEs in improving their competitiveness. This support is provided through strengthening the business ecosystem, expanding market access, and utilizing integrated financial solutions.

"Batik is not only a national cultural identity, but also has significant economic value and is a driving force behind the national creative industry. Therefore, BNI continues to present various initiatives to support batik MSMEs so they can develop, expand their market reach, and utilize digital transformation as a lever for sustainable business growth," Okki said in a written statement.

At the exhibition, BNI presents non-cash payment services via Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and BNI QRIS which could be used by tenants during the activity. The presence of this digital payment service is expected to provide ease of transactions for visitors and business people, as well as expand acceptance of digital payments in the MSME sector.

In addition to providing transaction infrastructure, BNI also offers a number of promotional programs and offers for customers during the exhibition. These programs are part of the company's efforts to add value to transactions and encourage the use of digital payment channels.

BNI also provided promotional space to three fostered MSMEs under the BNI Berbagi Program: Kampoeng Laweyan, RB Wonogiri, and RB Katingan, located next to the Puro Pakualaman booth. The presence of these MSMEs is expected to broaden the exposure of Indonesia's superior batik and craft products and open up broader market opportunities.

According to Okki, BNI's participation in Puspa Nuswantara 2026 also reflects the company's commitment to supporting the preservation of Indonesian culture, which has high economic value. Through synergy with various stakeholders, BNI encourages the creation of a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable MSME ecosystem.

Okki added that support for MSMEs aligns with BNI's eight-decade anniversary, which adopted the theme "Swadharma Bhakti Nagara" for its 80th anniversary. This theme reflects the company's commitment to continuously contributing to Indonesia's development, including through empowering MSMEs and strengthening the people's economy.

"For 80 years, BNI has consistently grown alongside Indonesia. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen our role as the financial partner of choice for MSMEs by providing innovative banking solutions, expanding access to financing, digitizing services, and collaborating to create added value and encourage Indonesian MSMEs to become more competitive, upgrade the class, and penetrate the global market," Okki said.

In line with the spirit of serving wholeheartedly, BNI carries out this role as part of the synergy of BUMN under the coordination of Danantara Indonesia in strengthening the productive sector, including the culture-based creative industry which is one of Indonesia's economic strengths.

Through its participation in Puspa Nuswantara 2026, BNI affirms its commitment to supporting the strengthening of creative MSMEs, expanding public appreciation for Indonesian batik and crafts, and promoting the creative economy as a source of national economic growth.
