Jakarta, 10 May 2019 --- The fostered partners of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI who are active in SOEs Creative Home (RKB) get a surprise as well as added value by becoming participants in Gelar Batik Nusantara (GBN) 2019. They not only had the opportunity to expand the market, but also had the opportunity to discuss with the SOE Minister, Rini Soemarno.
This experience is one of the efforts made so that BNI’s fostered partners can upgrade their business faster. In addition, batik lovers will get the chance to get to know quality batik brought by BNI’s fostered partners directly from their home regions.
Rini had the opportunity to visit, view carefully the batik products, and talk with the creative entrepreneurs when she visited GBN 2019 in Jakarta, Saturday (May 11, 2019). Also present at the occasion were the Retail Banking Director of BNI, Tambok P Setyawati and one of Batik Crafters from Ngawi, Widi, from Widi Nugraha Batik.
In GBN 2019, in addition to batik crafter from Ngawi, BNI also displays liek batik crafter from Padang, Cilacap batik, Tebo and Banyuwangi batik. All of them are entrepreneurs who are active in BNI's RKB.
Indonesian Batik Foundation held Gelar Batik Nusantara (GBN) 2019. A total of 260 batik craft booths participated in the event held on 8-12 May 2019 at the Plenary, Main Lobby and Assembly Hall, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). The exhibition that took the them “Unlimited Sustainability” was officially opened by the Indonesian Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto.
The Corporate Secretary of BNI, Meiliana said, "BNI fully supports the event Gelar Batik Nusantara 2019 in collaboration with the Indonesian Batik Foundation. On this occasion BNI’s fostered batik crafters also showed their work together with batik artisans from all over Indonesia, honed their marketing strategies, and became increasingly familiar with batik trends favored by the community"
One of BNI's fostered partners, Tebo by Rizky Danang, has been awarded the Siddhakarya Productivity Award 2018. Rizky said, "I am very happy to be able to show the work of Batik Tebo at Gelar Batik Nusantara 2019. In addition to being increasingly known to many people, this event can also raise my motivation to be creative and generate new ideas by seeing the work of batik from other crafters".
In addition, Toni Sudarmaji from Rajasa Mas production or BNI’s fostered batik crafter from Cilacap said, "I am very happy that I’m able to take part in Gelar Batik Nusantara 2019. Here, I get a new network for sales and add friends from various regions in Indonesia. I hope that through this event, we will be able to increase the production and turnover of Rajasa Mas".
