PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI continues to show its commitment in supporting the transformation of the national economy through the empowerment of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). One of the strategic steps that BNI is now taking is actively participating in the RISE to IPO program: Empowering Medium Enterprises to IPO initiated by the Ministry of MSMEs.
This program is designed to encourage MSMEs, especially medium businesses, in order to be able to access long -term financing through the capital market. In its implementation, BNI also accompanied business actors in various stages of preparation towards the go public process, including through the support of its subsidiary, BNI Sekuritas.
"BBNI is not only present to provide financing solutions, but also as a strategic partner who is ready to assist medium business actors in preparing themselves to take the floor on the stock exchange. We also cooperate with BNI Sekuritas to strengthen financial literacy and education related to the capital market," BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said in his written statement.
The RISE to IPO program was officially launched by MSMEs Minister Maman Abdurrahman and was also attended by BNI Director Eko Setyo Nugroho. In his remarks, Maman said that the medium business sector had a significant role in strengthening the national supply chain and encouraging the empowerment of micro and small businesses in various regions.
He assessed that the capacity building of medium businesses is very crucial so that they could advance institutionally and have access to sustainable funding. The Rise to IPO program he called as one of the strategic instruments to support this goal.
The RISE to IPO program is compiled with a gradual and comprehensive approach. The program participants will take part in a series of educational seminars, intensive coaching clinic, to the IDX Incubator program. This assistance is designed so that its implementation is practical and according to the needs of business actors.
BNI sees this mentoring as a great opportunity to accelerate the readiness of MSMEs to enter the capital market. With the support of BNI Sekuritas, business actors will be equipped with knowledge about financial management, corporate governance, and capital structure, which are the main requirements for an IPO.
Indonesian MSMEs have great potential to level up. With the right mentoring, they can not only compete in the domestic market but also achieve impressive performance in the capital market. This is a tangible form of BNI's commitment to supporting an inclusive and sustainable people's economy," concluded Okki.
