BNI Supports Sean Gelael as He Begins the 2026 Racing Season Through the Asian Le Mans Series

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI supports national racing driver Sean Gelael's decision to kick off preparations for the 2026 racing season by competing in the 2025/26 Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS). This participation underscores Sean's consistency in competing at the international endurance racing level while also representing Indonesia in global competitions.

Sean Gelael will compete in the GT class with a team that relies on the Ferrari 296 GT3, collaborating with two experienced drivers, Davide Rigon from Italy and Charly Samani from France. This will be Sean's first time driving a Ferrari in a championship, having previously used a number of other manufacturers' cars such as BMW, McLaren, and Audi in various GT events.

The Asian Le Mans Series is one of the most competitive endurance racing championships in Asia, with the majority of drivers and teams also competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and GT World Challenge Europe. In the GT class, competition is expected to be fierce, especially with the presence of Manthey Racing, the defending ALMS champion and two-time consecutive winner of the LMGT3 class in the FIA WEC.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo views Sean Gelael's achievements as reflecting the significant potential of Indonesian athletes to compete consistently on the international stage. Therefore, BNI considers it important to support the career journey of this national racing driver.

“Sean's fighting spirit, consistency, and professionalism reflect BNI's values to continue to make Indonesia's name increasingly recognized at the global level. We hope that this support can give Sean additional energy to perform at his best throughout the 2025/26 season,” said Okki in a written statement.

Sean himself said that adaptation is both a challenge and motivation this season, considering that in addition to a new car, he has also joined a different team and teammates.

“What's new is not just the car, but also the team and teammates. However, I am confident that I can adapt to any situation, including being with the Ferrari family,” said Sean, who is also known as the First Brand Ambassador for Pertamax Turbo.

The 2025/26 ALMS season will consist of three rounds with a total of six races. The opening round will take place at the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia on December 13–14, 2025. The second round will be held at the Dubai Autodrome on January 31 and February 1, 2026, while the final two races will take place at Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi, on February 7–8, 2026. Each race will last four hours and can be watched on the official Asian Le Mans Series YouTube channel.

Support for Sean Gelael in this season's ALMS also comes from a number of partners, including KFC Indonesia, Pertamax Turbo, Pertamina Fastron, and BNI. Through this support, BNI affirms its commitment to continue encouraging the achievements of national athletes on the international stage as part of the company's contribution to building Indonesia's pride and competitiveness at the global level.
