BNI Adds IDR10 Trillion in Credit Facilities to Pegadaian, Bringing Total Financing to IDR25.1 Trillion

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, has extended an IDR10 trillion credit facility to PT Pegadaian as part of its efforts to strengthen the national financial services ecosystem and expand public access to financing. With this additional facility, BNI's total financing disbursed to Pegadaian now reaches IDR25.1 trillion.

The expansion of this cooperation was marked by the signing of a Credit Agreement (PK) which took place in Jakarta on Tuesday (10/3/2026). The signing was attended by a number of leaders of both companies, including Pegadaian President Director Damar Latri Setiawan, Pegadaian Finance & Strategic Planning Director Ferdian Timur Satyagraha, Pegadaian Human Capital Tribuana Tunggadewi Director, and BNI Treasury & International Banking Director Abu Santosa Sudradjat, along with senior leaders from both institutions.

BNI Treasury & International Banking Director Abu Santosa Sudradjat said the expansion of this cooperation is a strategic step to strengthen collaboration between the two companies in supporting the development of the national financing ecosystem.

"With our respective backgrounds and strengths, we can work together to provide broader access to financing and meet the ever-growing market needs," Abu said in a written statement.

According to him, this collaboration is a continuation of the long-standing partnership between BNI and Pegadaian in supporting business development and expanding financing services to the public.

Abu added that Pegadaian holds a strategic position as a state-owned pawnbroker and a leader in the pawn industry in Indonesia. This collaboration between the two institutions is considered capable of creating stronger synergies in expanding access to financing.

"Pegadaian has a very strong position as a government-owned pawnbroker and a leader in the pawn industry in Indonesia, so we are optimistic that this collaboration can provide added value for both parties," said Abu.

Through this additional credit facility, BNI hopes that the collaboration with Pegadaian can continue to grow and create an increasingly productive partnership, while also opening up new collaboration opportunities in the future.

The collaboration between BNI and Pegadaian is expected to further strengthen the national financing ecosystem and support increased financial inclusion in Indonesia, by providing broader funding access for the public and businesses in various sectors.
